Meet the Staff

At Alston Training and Adventure Centre we realize our most valuable asset is our staff.

Photo of High Plains dining room Centre owner and manager, Dave Simpson and his wife Gill, came to High Plains in 1989, bringing with them their daughter Dawn. Karen was born shortly afterwards and the family have taken an active part in running the centre since then.

One of the biggest strengths of the centre is its staff team, ranging from Pip in the office and Gayle in the kitchen to the Instructional Team.

Whilst all the instructors work on a freelance basis, some have been associated with the centre for over 10 years. They are mature and experienced and have worked with a variety of groups and individuals of varying ages and abilities over many years, in many different environments. Well qualified and holding a minimum of 3 National Governing Body awards, some considerably more, our instructors carry First Aid certificates and will also have undergone CRB checks.
